Preparing the raw energy balls
Wash the already softened walnuts with fresh water, then grind them in a food processor.
Cut the vanilla pod lengthways with a sharp knife and scrape out the vanilla pulp with a teaspoon.
Now add the dates, cocoa powder, salt and vanilla pulp to the already ground walnuts and mix it all together into a uniform dough.
Make little balls out of the finished dough and roll them in cocoa powder if you like. Alternatively, you can also use dessicated coconut or chopped nuts.
Then just put the raw energy balls into the fridge for approx. a half hour.
The number of energy balls will vary depending on their size.
